EScope Download and Installation of latest version - Rev 1.24:

Checking your software version:
To see what version you are currently using load your EScope software, click on the "Help" tab and then click the "About" text in the upper left hand corner of your screen.

The EScope program will only run if you have the ATS EScope hardware.  The "Download EScope.exe File Only" option has been removed to avoid confusion. 

• Download http://www.automotivetestsolutions.com/download/EScopeInstall.zip (~36MB) to your desktop.
• Double-click on the downloaded file on your desktop to view the zipped contents.
• Double-click on Setup (Application) to install the EScope. If the installer asks you if it is OK to uninstall the existing version allow it to do so and then run the Setup again to install the new version.
• Besides the requirement for having the EScope interface hardware connected to your computer you must also have the proper DAQ driver installed to use it.
• If you are upgrading from Rev 1.21 or older:
  • When you run the Setup program if the installer doesn't ask to uninstall the EScope allow it to install but then run the setup program a second time to correctly uninstall the old program.  Then run it a third time to install the new program.
  • You'll also need to upgrade your driver. See "Driver Download" at the bottom of this page for driver details.

  • Fixed problem where Demo Mode would automatically get selected at startup or auto-restart if DAQ board was not seen. Pop-up will now allow user to see error and re-start or select demo mode.
  • Changed Mark Cylinders to be offset -25% of one division for pressure marking. This more accurately divides up the cylinders when using the pressure sensor.

  4/25/2007: Rev 1.22:
  • First version to support both the EScope and EScope Pro. Program will automatically detect and setup for correct hardware at startup.
  • Added setup wizard that shows hookup schematics, just-in-time training videos for various sensors, and allows setup file selection form tree of sensor/signal types.
  • Added Pressure Sensor Utilities: Automatic scaling for each ATS sensor type, ZERO button, Measure tools for marking cylinders, and +/-5000.0 range setting to cover all sensors.
  • Added ? Help buttons and help text tab for quick access to EScope help. Also changed manual to Flash type.
  • Changed labels on Timing tab to match labels on scope.
  • Added open circuit detection code and indicators that display red borders around CH#s for open circuit.
  • Changed custom setup folder to "SetupsCustom" instead of "Setups". “Setups” contains setup files that are not to be changed.

Driver Download (needed if first installation or if upgrading to Rev 1.22 from older version):

• Go to ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/daq/pc/ni-daq/daqmx/8.6/
  • Read install.txt installation directions.
  • Download NIDAQ860.exe. File size is over 800MB so download may take a while!
  • Notes:
    • This driver version supports Windows XP and VISTA for all EScopes.
    • This driver will also install the VISA driver used by the EScan and Emission programs that is required by VISTA.
    • The VISTA driver does not support the PCMCIA card used on the original EScope (only the EScope Limited and EScope Pro can be used on VISTA).
    • Do not install an NIDAQ driver older than 8.5.0 on VISTA!
